Tom Decker – “You Crashed…..Now What?!”

Tom Decker is the National Program Director of the Credit Union Center for Social Impact Management, created by the National Credit Union Foundation. Both the Credit Union Development Education (DE) Training and Social Impact Management Institute are housed at the center, focusing on training credit union staff and volunteers about cooperative principles, credit union philosophy, and how to apply them in today’s world.

Tom will be leading the charge on actionable takeaways from the Crashers’ experience.

Some questions Tom will be asking:

  • What inspired you?
  • What frustrated you?
  • What made a difference?
  • What are going to do with it?

WHAT IS THE GAC?

CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference is one of the largest conferences in the credit union industry.

Each year, hundreds of some of the brightest and most influential minds in our industry descend on Washington DC to network with peers, hear from key legislative and political leaders, and experience a variety of sessions on credit unions' hot issues.

"CRASH?"

Yup. Crash. The idea began as a subversive conference for credit union professionals under 30 around the proper conference, including Crash Sessions lead by industry thought leaders and boatloads of networking opportunities.

Since then, CUNA's Center for Professional Development has also opened up opportunities for our group to attend the full conference through a scholarship application program.

Meaning we've essentially become two events for the price of none.
