Larry Blanchard is senior vice president and Washington representative of CUNA Mutual. He is responsible for federal legislative and regulatory representation, as well as national financial services industry and credit union system relations. He led the credit union movement-wide Credit Union Campaign for Consumer Choice, which he directed from its inception through the Supreme Court hearing and to the successful enactment of H.R. 1151.
CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference is one of the largest conferences in the credit union industry.
Each year, hundreds of some of the brightest and most influential minds in our industry descend on Washington DC to network with peers, hear from key legislative and political leaders, and experience a variety of sessions on credit unions' hot issues.
Yup. Crash. The idea began as a subversive conference for credit union professionals under 30 around the proper conference, including Crash Sessions lead by industry thought leaders and boatloads of networking opportunities.
Since then, CUNA's Center for Professional Development has also opened up opportunities for our group to attend the full conference through a scholarship application program.
Meaning we've essentially become two events for the price of none.
