Chatting It Up With The CU Chat Up

Carla Day was nice enough to have us on her weekly show CU Chat Up yesterday.

The show was on “Targeting Gen Y,” and in addition to talking about Crash, George and I talked about the work we’re doing at Filene in the Gen Y space.

If you missed the live broadcast (and Denise Wymore’s sassy NSFW comments in the chatroom), be sure to check it out. In the talk, we covered:

  • Why limit it to under 30?
  • Who are the session leaders?
  • How’d this come about?
  • And, Carla broke the big news about CUNA sponsoring our group with 20 scholarship GAC passes.

All in all: a bang up time.

Thanks again, Carla!

WHAT IS THE GAC?

CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference is one of the largest conferences in the credit union industry.

Each year, hundreds of some of the brightest and most influential minds in our industry descend on Washington DC to network with peers, hear from key legislative and political leaders, and experience a variety of sessions on credit unions' hot issues.

"CRASH?"

Yup. Crash. The idea began as a subversive conference for credit union professionals under 30 around the proper conference, including Crash Sessions lead by industry thought leaders and boatloads of networking opportunities.

Since then, CUNA's Center for Professional Development has also opened up opportunities for our group to attend the full conference through a scholarship application program.

Meaning we've essentially become two events for the price of none.
