Last Day for Crashers to Apply for a Full GAC Scholarship

I sent an email last week to all registered Crashers with the following app details. Today is their deadline for the application, and scholarship recipients will be announced next week. Wish them luck!

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must…

  • …be registered to crash with us through the Eventbright site.
  • …work for a credit union or league, be under 30 years old, and be a member of CUNA.
  • …nab a testimonial from their supervisor or CEO
  • ….send a personal account of their involvement in the credit union movement, and
  • ….answer the question, “What do you and your credit union hope to take away from the experience?”

Down the line, we’ll share some of these stories, testimonials, hopes and other goodness.

Also: In the next week I’ll post a list of the Crashers so we can all get to know them a little better, pinch their cheeks, and so on.

It’s going to be an awesome group.

WHAT IS THE GAC?

CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference is one of the largest conferences in the credit union industry.

Each year, hundreds of some of the brightest and most influential minds in our industry descend on Washington DC to network with peers, hear from key legislative and political leaders, and experience a variety of sessions on credit unions' hot issues.

"CRASH?"

Yup. Crash. The idea began as a subversive conference for credit union professionals under 30 around the proper conference, including Crash Sessions lead by industry thought leaders and boatloads of networking opportunities.

Since then, CUNA's Center for Professional Development has also opened up opportunities for our group to attend the full conference through a scholarship application program.

Meaning we've essentially become two events for the price of none.
